They have been worked rotating the fields with soya/maize, soya/sorghum, fertilization with superfosfate (46/0/0) and diamonium-fostate (18/46/0) and wheat coverage or sorghum stubble in the winter. Yields obtained: Campaign 2005/2006: • Soja 3,000 kgs/hec. avarage (450 hec.). • Sorgo 7,000 kgs/hec. avarage (400 has.). Needless to say this soil has the same characteristics to the soil dedicated to the rest of the developed agricultural land. This provision of water is realized normally by gravity, and in high consumption areas helped by pumps, in both cases through P.V.C. underground piping. Raifall regime: The rainfall oscillates between 24 to 26 inches per year (600 to 700 mms) compensating in mid spring, October to April, and in winter it only rains between 2 to 3 inches (30 to 60 mms) |
